Welcome to Cacao Route, the family owned business founded in 2018 by the self-made co-founders, Mahammer Celik and Ali Ilhan. With the first shop opening in Istanbul, this duo has come a long way since their humble beginnings. Let us take you on a journey through their story.
30 Years of Friendship and Counting
Mahammer Celik and Ali Ilhan have been best friends for over 30 years, and their bond has only grown stronger with time. In fact, Celik was the best man at Ilhan’s wedding. Their families are also very close, which led to the joint decision to expand to the UK. Today, Walton’s Cacao Route is the only one of its kind in the country.

All of our products are made from high-quality, ethically sourced chocolate, with our signature hot chocolates made from pure melted chocolate. Our commitment to quality doesn’t stop there. We also offer a range of sweet products such as fondues and souffles, as well as freshly baked savoury waffles and pastries. Early comers are even treated to the aroma of pastries as they bake.
